Excessive Delay or Inadequate Delay Variation

Intermittent wipe and standard two-speed motors are identical. Refer to TWO SPEED WIPER SYSTEM in this section for diagnosis of system problems not involving the delay function.

1. Variations in delay should be as follows:
a. Minimum delay (control at extreme counter clockwise position before first detent), one half to two seconds.
b. Maximum delay (control to extreme left before "OFF" detent), 10 to 30 seconds.
2. If there is excessive delay or no variation, replace switch.
