Compressor Clutch Relay: Description and Operation

The air-conditioning cut out relay is wired in series with the cycling clutch switch and low pressure cut out switch. When the throttle position sensor sends a wide open throttle signal to the logic module, the relay is energized and air conditioning clutch engagement is prevented.
