The coil wire and spark plug end of spark plug wires are replaced in a conventional manner. To replace distributor end of spark plug wires, use the following procedure.
1. Remove distributor cap.
2. Using a pair of suitable long nosed pliers, remove spark plug wires from distributor cap by squeezing wire clips and pushing out, Fig. 8. Do not remove spark plug wires from distributor cap unless nipples are damaged or cable testing indicates high resistance or broken insulation.
3. Refer to Fig. 9 for proper installation of spark plug wires. Ensure positive locking terminal electrode is fully seated in cap.
