Calibration Check

Tubo Wastegate Calibration Check

1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the wastegate diaphragm.
2. Connect a cooling system pressure tester to the wastegate diaphragm.
3. Slowly apply pressure while watching the wastegate actuator rod.
4. If the wastegate actuator rod moves more than 0.015 inch before 4 psi or does not move after 5 psi, the wastegate is faulty and the turbocharger must be replaced.
