Fuel Pump: Description and Operation
The fuel pump used in the EFI system is a positive displacement, roller vane, immersible pump with a permanent magnet electric motor. The pump uses two check valves: one valve relieves internal pump pressure and regulates maximum pump output, and the other valve, located near the pump outlet, restricts fuel flow in either direction when the pump is not operational. Operating voltage is supplied to the pump through the ASD relay.
