8D Ignition Coil Primary Windings For an Open

1. With diagnostic read-out tool connected to engine test connector, turn ignition switch to Off position.
2. Disconnect wire from negative side of ignition coil, then connect a voltmeter between negative terminal of ignition coil and ground.
3. Place system in ATM Test Mode Code 01.
4. If voltmeter reading is above 10 volts, proceed to Test 8 step E.
5. If voltmeter reading is not above 10 volts, replace ignition coil.
