16A Fault Code 11 Distributor Reference Pick-Up

1. Connect diagnostic read-out tool to engine test connector, then place ignition switch in Off position.
2. Disconnect distributor reference pick-up coil black electrical connector, then turn ignition switch to Run position.
3. Connect a jumper wire between reference pickup coil connector terminal Nos. 2 and 3. Make and break this connection several times.
4. Put the system into the Diagnostic Mode and record all codes.
5. If no fault code 11 is present, proceed to Test 16 step B.
6. If fault code 11 is present, proceed to Test 16 step C.
