Except 1982---84
1. With oil pan removed, remove two screws securing oil pump to cylinder block assembly.
2. Apply suitable sealant to pump to block interface.
3. Lubricate oil pump rotor and shaft and the drive gear.
4. Install pump full depth and rotate back and forth slightly to ensure proper positioning and alignment through full surface contact of pump and block machined interface surfaces. Pump must be held in fully seated position while installing screws.
5. Torque attaching screws to 200 inch lbs.
