EXTENDED WARRANTY NOTIFICATION DRIVER'S SEAT TO POWER ADJUSTER ATTACHMENT CERTAIN 1985 AND 1986 CARS

Dear 1985 or 1986 Chrysler Motors Car Owner:

By this letter, Chrysler is notifying you of extended warranty coverage on your car's driver seat cushion frame attachment to the power seat adjuster. This coverage applies to certain 1985 and 1986 cars equipped with a power bucket or power split bench driver's seat.

Some failures at the left, front corner of the seat cushion frame attachment to the power adjuster have been reported. Attachment failure results in some looseness (rocking and swaying) of the seat. The amount of loose seat movement will be limited by the remaining other three attachments.

To insure your satisfaction with our product, Chrysler is providing you with extended warranty coverage for your car's driver seat/power adjuster attachment. If the attachment fails, Chrysler will repair it at no cost to you, regardless of vehicle age or mileage. The recommended repair includes replacement of the seat cushion frame and reinforcement repair of the power adjuster.

If it becomes necessary for you to obtain the seat/adjuster attachment extended warranty service, make an appointment with your servicing dealer, and give him a copy of this letter when you take your car in for the service. Your dealer is aware of this extended warranty program and the parts and service required. We recommend you keep this letter with your car papers (Owner's Manual, etc.) so that it can be located if necessary.

NOTE: If your seat/adjuster attachment has been repaired by a Chrysler Motors dealer since July of 1986, the recommended repair likely has already been performed. Your dealer can confirm this.

The purpose of this warranty extension program is to ensure your continued satisfaction with our product. If you need any assistance on this matter, please contact the Chrysler Zone Service Office in your area -- listed under "Service Assistance" in your Owner's Manual.
