Welding Notes & Torque Requirements

WELDING NOTES

^ ARC or MIG (CO2) Weld Only

Gas or TIG (HELI-ARC) Welding is not permissible.

A.W.S. E-6011 ARC Welding Rod - 1/8" Diameter
(preferred)
E-6012 Acceptable
E-6013 Acceptable

A.W.S. E-70S6 MIG Welding Wire - .035" (preferred)
E-70S3 Acceptable
^ Repair to be made by a qualified welder to ensure good weld quality. If your facility is not equipped or staffed to handle the weld repair, sublet that portion to a qualified welding facility.

^ Do not quench (water cool) after welding -- all to air cool.

4. After repaired area has cooled, spray with Mopar Belt Dressing, PN 4318069, to protect against metal surface corrosion.

5. Reassemble the adjuster to the seat assembly and reinstall the completed assembly into the vehicle.

NOTE: VEHICLES WITH 50/50 SEAT - SECURE THE IN-BOARD SEAT BELT TO THE FLOOR AND RECONNECT THE WIRING PIGTAIL.

^ Seat Track Assembly to Floor Pan 250 inch pounds (Figure 2) (front bolts and rear nuts)

^ Seat Track Assembly to Cushion 200 inch pounds (Figure 2) Frame (attaching bolts)

^ Recliner to Cushion Frame 250 inch pounds (Figure 1)

^ Pivot Bolt 40 foot pounds (Figure 1)

^ Seat Belt Anchor Bolt (50/50) 275 inch pounds (Figure 1A)

^ Arm Rest Stop Bolt 100 inch pounds (Figure 1A)
