SYMPTOM/CONDITION

Liftgate trim panel pulls loose at the shelf panel cord hanger clips.

PARTS REQUIRED

2 Shelf Panel Cord Hanger Clips PN H285EK3 Almond
(paint as required)

REPAIR PROCEDURE

A new clip is required to fasten the trim panel to the liftgate.

1. Remove existing shelf panel cord hanger clip from trim panel.

2. Drill a 7.0 mm (9/32" or "J" letter size drill) hole into the liftgate inside panel through the current cord clip hole (Figure 1).

CAUTION: USE CARE WHEN DRILLING SO DRILL DOES NOT DENT OR GO THROUGH OUTER LIFTGATE SURFACE.

3. Install new shelf panel cord hanger clip, PN H285EK3 (Figure 1).
