Fault Code 3

Fig. 12 ATC wiring harness and lead connectors:

1. With system in normal operating mode, bring temperature setting to 65 degrees Fahrenheit, pause for 20 seconds, then bring the temperature setting to 85 degrees Fahrenheit and pause for 20 seconds.
2. Repeating this operation 3 times should clean the integral electro-mechanical contacts of the blend-air door actuator.
3. Retest system, if failure code 3 is still present, replace blend-air door actuator then retest system. If failure code is still present replace computer control.
