DR-27D Checking For High Fuel Pressure

This test must be performed with engine warm.

1. Leave pressure gauge connected and turn engine Off.
2. Remove fuel return hose from pressure regulator. Using a suitable length of fuel hose, install one end to pressure regulator and place other end in an approved gasoline container.
3. Turn ignition switch to Run position, then press ATM button and note pressure gauge reading. Do not hold button down for more than ten seconds.
4. If fuel pressure is 53---57 psi, check fuel return line and in-tank check valve for restrictions.
5. If fuel pressure is above 57 psi, replace pressure regulator valve.
