DR-24D Check EGR Valve Vacuum Chamber For Leaks

This test must be performed with engine warm.

1. With vacuum line disconnected from EGR valve, auxiliary vacuum supply connected to EGR valve and engine running at idle, apply 10 inches of vacuum to EGR valve and then release it.
2. If vacuum holds without bleeding for at least 10 seconds, proceed to Test 25.
3. If vacuum does not hold for 10 seconds, replace EGR/back pressure valve assembly.
