DR-23C Sensor Calibration MAP Sensor
This test must be performed with engine warm.
1. With diagnostic read-out tool connected to engine test connector and engine warm, place system in Sensor Test Mode 08. Divide reading on display by ten for actual voltage.
2. Disconnect vacuum hose from MAP sensor and connect an auxiliary vacuum supply to the MAP sensor.
3. Apply 5 inches of vacuum and record voltage displayed on read-out tool, then apply 20 inches of vacuum and record voltage displayed.
4. Subtract voltage at 20 inches from voltage at 5 inches to get voltage difference.
5. If read-out tool shows an uninterrupted change of voltage between 5 and 20 inches of vacuum, proceed to Test 23 step D.
6. If read-out tool shows an interrupted change of voltage between 5 and 20 inches of vacuum, or if voltage difference is not between 1.1 and 1.4 volts, replace MAP sensor.
