DR-20B Sensor Calibrations Throttle Position Sensor

This test must be performed with engine cold.

1. Connect diagnostic read-out tool to engine test connector.
2. Place system in Sensor Test Mode 05. Divide reading on display by 10.
3. Perform this test with engine off and cold.
4. Display reads as follows:
a. Throttle fully closed, .5 to 1.5 volts. Be sure none of cables that are attached to throttle body are not misadjusted and are holding throttle open.
b. In between closed and open. Test Should indicate an uninterrupted change of voltage between closed and open throttle.
c. Throttle wide open. Test should indicate at least 3 1/2 volts.
5. If volt readings are within specifications, proceed to Test 20 step C.
6. If volt readings are not within specifications, replace throttle position sensor.
