DR-1B Output Circuits of ECM Controlled Components

1. Connect diagnostic read-out tool to engine test connector.
2. Place system into ATM Test Mode 04.
3. Test Code 04:
a. If radiator fan is turning on and off every two seconds, press and hold ATM button as follows:
Without A/C, until Test Code 07 appears;
With A/C, until Test Code 05 appears.
b. If radiator fan does not turn on and off, and relay is clicking, repair radiator fan circuit.
c. If radiator fan does not turn on and off, and relay is not clicking, replace relay.
4. Test Code 05:
a. If A/C cutout relay is clicking every two seconds, press and hold ATM button until Test Code 07 appears.
b. If A/C cutout relay is not clicking, replace relay.
5. Test Code 07:
a. If canister purge solenoid is clicking, press and hold ATM button until Test Code 08 appears.
b. If canister purge solenoid is not clicking, replace solenoid.
6. Test Code 08:
a. If EGR solenoid is clicking, press and hold ATM button until Test Code 09 appears.
b. If EGR solenoid is not clicking, replace solenoid.
7. Test Code 09:
a. If wastegate solenoid is clicking, press and hold ATM button until Test Code 10 appears.
b. If wastegate solenoid is not clicking, replace solenoid.
8. Test Code 10:
a. If baro read solenoid is clicking, proceed to Test 1 step C.
b. If baro read solenoid is not clicking, replace solenoid.
