DR-17E Checking Power Module Circuit

1. With ignition switch in Off position, disconnect power module 10-way electrical connector.
2. Connect a voltmeter between power module 10-way connector terminal No. 8 and ground.
3. Place ignition switch in Run position and note voltmeter reading.
4. If voltmeter reading is within 1 volt of battery voltage, replace power module.
CAUTION: Before replacing the power module check the terminal in cavity No. 8 of the 10-way connector to make sure it is not spread apart causing a poor connection.
5. If voltmeter indicates no voltage, check wiring from terminal No. 8 to alternator for an open circuit.
