DR-17B Checking Charging System Field Circuit

1. With engine operating, connect a voltmeter between logic module blue electrical connector terminal No. 2 and ground.
2. Connect a jumper wire to terminal No. 5 of logic module red electrical connector.
3. Momentarily contact other end of jumper wire connected to logic module red electrical connector to logic module stud and note voltmeter reading.
4. If voltmeter indicates an increase in voltage reading, replace logic module.
CAUTION: Before replacing the logic module check the terminal in cavity No. 5 of the blue connector to make sure it is not crushed causing a poor connection.
5. If voltmeter does not indicate an increase in voltage reading, proceed to Test 17 step C.
