21A Charging System (Fault Codes 41 46 or 46)

1. Disconnect the power module 10-way connector and connect a voltmeter between cavity No. 8 of the 10-way connector and ground.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the Run position.
3. If voltmeter reads within one volt of the battery voltage Preform Step B.
4. If voltmeter reads 0-1 volts, repair alternator field circuit for short to ground.
