Test 13, Checking System For Fault Codes

1. Connect diagnostic read-out tool to engine test connector, then disconnect and reconnect battery quick disconnect.
2. Crank engine for 7 seconds, then turn ignition switch off.
3. Place system in Diagnostic Mode and record all codes.
4. If no Code 88 is displayed, proceed to Test 14.
5. If code sequence is 88-11-12-55, proceed to Test 15.
6. If code sequence is 88-12-26-42-55 or 88-12-27-42-55, proceed to Test 16.
7. If code sequence is 88-11-12-22-23-24-55, sensor ground circuit fault is present. Locate and repair open circuit in wire from red logic module connector terminal No. 25.
8. If code sequence is 88-12-26-55 or 88-12-27-55, replace [1][2]power module.
CAUTION: Before replacing the [1][2]power module make sure the terminals in cavity No. 6 of the 10-way connector are not spread apart so they cannot touch the power module pin.
