Test 7, Checking Ignition System For Fault Codes

1. Connect diagnostic read-out tool to engine test connector, then disconnect and reconnect battery quick disconnect.
2. Crank engine for 5 seconds, then turn ignition switch Off.
3. Place system in Diagnostic Mode and record all codes.
4. If code sequence is 88-12-55, no faults are present. Proceed to Test 8.
5. If code sequence is 88-12-43-55, spark control circuit fault is present. Proceed to Test 9.
