SYMPTOM/CONDITION

Subject model vehicles may have a misalignment between the demister grille in the windshield pillar ("A" post) garnish and the demister outlet. This misalignment usually places the demister outlet too far inboard to demist the side windows properly.


PARTS REQUIRED

1 Wood Block, 2" x 0.9" x 0.6", Left Side 1 Wood Block, 2" x 0.9" x 0.3", Right Side 3M #950 Adhesive Transfer Tape, .75" Wide


REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Paint wood blocks as required to match windshield pillar ("A" post) garnish moulding..

2. Remove windshield pillar garnish mouldings.

3. Apply two-sided tape to the 2" x 0.9" side of each block.

FIGURE 1 - Side Windows:

4. Carefully press blocks into position as shown in Figure 1.
5. Carefully install each windshield pillar garnish moulding, ensuring that the block remains in contact with the edge of the demister outlet flange.

6. Check demister operation.
