DR-26A Checking EGR Valve
1. With engine warm, disconnect vacuum line at EGR valve.
2. Connect an auxiliary vacuum source to this line, then start engine and operate at idle speed.
3. Slowly apply vacuum.
4. If engine speed drops as 3 inches of vacuum is approached, proceed to Test 26 step B.
5. If engine does not drop, replace EGR valve.
NOTE: After valve is removed, make sure supply tube from manifold is not plugged before replacing EGR valve.
