DR-1A CODE to DR TEST Chart (Checking for Fault Codes)

1. Connect diagnostic read-out tool to engine test connector.
2. Within 5 seconds, cycle ignition on and off two times, then turn on and record all codes. If code sequence is 15-17-21-47-51 or 52, proceed to step 8.
3. Turn ignition switch Off, then disconnect and reconnect battery connector.
4. Start engine without depressing accelerator pedal.
5. Allow engine to idle for approximately 2 minutes.
6. Cycle transmission selector lever through all ranges and on models equipped with A/C, switch A/C button On and Off.
7. Place ignition switch in Off position.
8. Cycle ignition switch on-off-on-off-on within 5 seconds, then note all displayed codes. Proceed to the appropriate diagnosis for the following fault code displays:
a. Code sequence 88-12-55 indicates no fault codes are present. If cold driveability problem exist, proceed to Test 22. If warm driveability problem exists, proceed to Test 25.
b. Code sequence 88-12-13-55, 88-12-14-55 or 88-12-13-14-55, proceed to Test 2.
c. Code sequence 88-12-15-55, proceed to Test 3.
d. Code sequence 88-12-16-55, proceed to Test 4.
e. Code sequence 88-12-17-55, proceed to Test 5.
f. Code sequence 88-12-21-55, proceed to Test 6.
g. Code sequence 88-12-22-55, proceed to Test 7.
h. Code sequence 88-12-23-55, proceed to Test 8.
i. Code sequence 88-12-24-55, proceed to Test 9.
j. Code sequence 88-12-25-55, proceed to Test 10.
k. Code sequence 88-12-31-55, proceed to Test 11.
l. Code sequence 88-12-32-55, proceed to Test 12.
m. Code sequence 88-12-33-55, proceed to Test 13.
n. Code sequence 88-12-34-55, proceed to Test 14.
o. Code sequence 88-12-35-55, proceed to Test 15.
p. Code sequence 88-12-36-55 or 88-12-36-45-55, proceed to Test 16.
q. Code sequence 88-12-37-55, proceed to Test 17.
r. Code sequence 88-12-41-46-55 or 88-12-46-55, proceed to Test 18.
s. Code sequence 88-12-41-55 or 88-12-41-47-55, proceed to Test 19.
t. Code sequence 88-12-44-55, proceed to Test 20.
u. Code sequence 88-12-45-55, check wastegate operation.
NOTE: In addition to the visual inspection of the wastegate and baro read control systems, make sure none of the vacuum lines are not plugged with foreign material.
v. Code sequence 88-12-47-55, check drive belt tension and battery and alternator condition.
w. Code sequence 88-12-51-55 or 88-12-52-55, proceed to Test 24.
x. Code sequence 88-12-31-34-36-37-55, check for open circuit in ignition switch voltage supply wire to logic module.
y. Code sequence 88-12-53-55, replace logic module.
z. Code sequence 88-12-54-55, proceed to Test 21.
9. No Code 88 indicates a fault in the logic module memory standby circuit. Locate and repair open circuit in battery feed wire of terminal No. 2 in blue module connector.
