DR-14A Fault Code 34 EGR Solenoid Circuit

1. Connect diagnostic read-out tool to engine test connector.
2. Connect a voltmeter between gray wire terminal of EGR solenoid 4-way connector and ground.
3. Place system in ATM test mode code 08, voltmeter should cycle and solenoid should click.
4. If voltmeter is cycling and solenoid is clicking, check circuit for poor connections.
5. If voltmeter reads within 1 volt of battery voltage and is not cycling, proceed to Test 14 step B.
6. If voltmeter reads between 0 and 1 volt and is not cycling, disconnect logic module blue electrical connector and note voltmeter reading. If voltmeter reading is now within 1 volt of battery voltage, replace logic module. If voltmeter is still not within 1 volt of battery voltage, proceed to Test 14 step C.
7. If voltmeter is cycling between 0 and 3 volts, proceed to Test 14 step C.
