Instrument Panel Center & Right Side (23-19-40-00)
Problem Repair1. Check the glove box door latch by pushing Bend striker forward to tighten door. lightly on door.
2. Check lock housing by touching lightly. Check to see if housing is installed properly. If knob is loose, replace it.
3. Check for objects inside of glove box. Remove loose objects.
4. Open glove box. If rattle stops or Remove glove box assembly and tuck something rubs on box, the A/C resistor wires forward. Clip or tape wires as
block harness, capacitor wires or the required to heater - A/C unit. Reinstall
antenna cable are rattling or rubbing glove box. Check to see that wires do
on back of glove box. not rub back of box.
5. Glove box rubs on the right side of Loose A/C-Heater to panel bracket, push trim bezel. panel in at the left of glove box so that
the right side of glove box no longer rubs. Tighten bracket (Omni, Horizon, Turismo, Charger, Rampage, and Scamp only). Loosen the 3 mounting screws, hold glove box to left and retighten screws from left to right.
6. Press on the A/C unit (if equipped) Refer to Technical Service Bulletin with your hand while engine is running #24-05-83.
to reduce or stop buzz.
7. Refer to "Underhood" section.
