Fuel Pressure Regulator: Service and Repair

Fig. 4 Exploded view of throttle body assembly:

1. Release pressure from fuel system as previously described.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Remove pressure regulator-to-fuel inlet chamber attaching screws. Place a clean towel around fuel inlet chamber to avoid fuel leakage.
4. Remove vacuum hose between pressure regulator and throttle body.
5. Remove pressure regulator from throttle body, Fig. 4.
6. Remove O-ring and seal from regulator.
7. Reverse procedure to install, using new O-ring and seal. Torque pressure regulator attaching screws to 40 inch lbs.
