SYMPTOM/CONDITION

An off idle sag may occur on subject model engines during light to medium acceleration from stop.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

Installation Procedure

1. Locate the plastic vapor canister purge hose at the right rear of the throttle body (Figure 1).

2. Follow the purge line until you encounter a 3" rubber hose spliced between the two plastic lines. This rubber hose splice will be located near the right shock tower and may be partially hidden by the A/C hose if so equipped (Figure 2).

3.. Cut the rubber splice in the middle so you have two pieces (Figure 3).

4. Insert Purge Orifice, PN 4300907, into cut rubber splice (Figure 4).
5. Re-inspect purge line to ensure connections are tight, that the lines are not kinked, and are routed so as not to interfere with the power steering pump pulley.

6. Type the following information on the Authorized Modification Label PN 4275086 (Figure 5).
Upper Section

"Installed .040" Diameter Purge Orifice PN 4300907."

7. Install this label next to or near the original VECI label.
