Subject: California Emissions Recall #414 -- Engine Timing and EGR Orifice
Models: 1984 Model Year Passenger Cars Equipped With a 2.2L EFI Engine and California Emissions System:
- Dodge Daytona & 600
- Chrysler E Class, Laser & LeBaron
The subject vehicles may emit oxides of nitrogen in excess of the California Emissions Standards. To ensure compliance to the Standards, the basic engine timing must be retarded and an orifice must be installed in the EGR backpressure signal line.
