Automatic Idle Speed (AIS) Motor

Fig. 4 Exploded view of throttle body assembly:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect 6-way connector at throttle body.
3. Remove AIS motor-to-adapter attaching screws. Do not remove clamp on motor, as damage may result.
4. Remove two AIS wires from 6-way connector. Lift each locking tab inside connector with a small screwdriver and remove blade terminals. Note position of wires for assembly reference.
5. Remove AIS motor from adapter and remove O-rings from motor, Fig. 4.
6. Reverse procedure to install, using new O-rings. Torque motor attaching screws to 20 inch lbs.
