Sensors & Switches

Several switches located throughout the vehicle provide information to the logic module. These switches include the idle, neutral safety, electric backlight, air conditioning, air conditioning clutch and brake light switches. When one or more of these switches is in the on position, the logic module signals the automatic idle speed (AIS) motor to increase idle speed to a specific RPM.

When air conditioning is on and the throttle valve is above a preset angle, the wide open throttle cut out relay prevents the air conditioning clutch from engaging until the throttle valve is below this angle.
