VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER LOCATION

The vehicle identification number (VIN) is located on a plate attached to the left top side of the instrument panel and visible through the windshield. (Fig. 1)

All vehicle identification number contains 17 digits. The vehicle number is a code which tells destination, brand, sales code, price class, engine displacement, type of body, etc.

Stamping Location

The chassis number is stamped on the top center of the fire wall in the engine compartment. (Fig. 2)

VEHICLE SAFETY CERTIFICATION LABEL

The vehicle safety certification label is attached to face door of pillar.

This label reflects the data of manufacturer month and year, Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (G.V.W.R.) front, Gross Axle Weight Rating (G.A.W.R.), rear and Vehicle Identification Number (V.I.N.). (Fig. 3)

The name plate is rivetted on the fire wall in engine compartment. (Fig. 4)
