Coolant Vacuum Switch Cold Closed (CVSCC) Valve Test

1. Remove valve from housing, and submerge threaded portion of valve into a container of cold water. Water temperature should be approximately 40° F.
2. Disconnect yellow striped hose from valve and connect a suitable vacuum pump and gauge to valve nipple.
3. Apply 10 inches Hg vacuum to the valve. There should be no more than 1 inch drop in vacuum in 1 minute. If there is excessive vacuum drop, replace the valve.
