On vehicles equipped with the 4-156/2.6L engine, a Sub-EGR Control Valve is incorporated in conjunction with the EGR system. The Sub-EGR closely modulates EGR flow in response to throttle valve opening. The Sub-EGR Control Valve is an integral part of the carburetor, and is directly opened and closed through linkage that is connected to the throttle valve, Fig. 28.
