Wheel Bearing: Adjustments

Fig. 3 Wheel bearing assembly:

1. Torque adjusting nut to 270 inch lbs. (30 Nm) while rotating wheel.
2. Stop wheel and loosen adjusting nut.
3. Tighten adjusting nut finger tight. Endplay should be 0.001 - 0.003 inch.
4. Install castle lock with slots aligned with cotter pin hole.
5. Install cotter pin and grease cap.
