Idle Speed Adjustment

Label Number: Refers to last two large digits of part number on the left side of label.

Specifications on emissions label must be used if different from those given.

1982-86 If Idle speed changes after switches and vacuum hoses are reconnected do not readjust.





4-cyl. 2.6L (156):

1984 With feedback control, start engine and disconnect oxygen sensor.

1985-87 With feedback control, remove idle switch electrical connector.

All models, set idle speed to specification.

With AC, turn unit on and set speedup speed to spec. with compressor cycling.
