1. Remove silent shaft screw and the silent shaft.
2. Remove oil pump to cylinder block screw and oil pump.


SILENT SHAFT CLEARANCES

Before installing silent shaft, measure outer diameter to outer bearing clearance. Clearance should be 0.0008 - 0.0024 in. (0.02 - 0.06 mm). Measure inner diameter to inner bearing clearance. Clearance should be 0.0020 - 0.0035 in. (0.05 - 0.09 mm).
