After-Run Fan
AFTER-RUN FANSome models use an ambient temperature switch. The switch is located on the radiator cooling fan mounting bracket and is used in conjunction with the time delay relay to activate the radiator cooling fan for approximately 5 to 10 minutes with engine off during periods of radiator ambient temperature of 105 °F or above.
The switch is tested using a suitable ohmmeter. When the switch is cold, continuity should not exist. When the switch is warmed to 105 °F or above, continuity should be present. Replace if defective.
