Coolant Sensor Test
1982 - 86 Front Wheel Drive Models
1. Connect an ohmmeter, to coolant sensor terminals.
2. With engine cold and ambient temperature less than 90°F, resistance should be 500 - 1100 ohms.
3. With engine hot (at normal operating temperature), resistance reading obtained should be greater than 1300 ohms.
4. If resistance readings obtained are not within specification, replace coolant sensor.
