Rear Dual Pin Floating Caliper

This disc brake, is a single piston, floating caliper type that incorporates a mechanically actuated parking brake mechanism. The caliper is a one piece casting with the single piston located on the inboard side. An automatic adjuster within the piston maintains a constant running clearance between the brakes and disc. The parking brake mechanism is self-adjusting.

The caliper floats on rubber bushings, with teflon inner sleeves, on the two guide pins threaded into the adapter. Two machined abutments on the adapter position and align the caliper and brake shoes for fore and aft movement.
