Auxiliary Battery Negative Cable Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.

2. Disconnect the auxiliary battery negative cable from the auxiliary battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection Service and Repair.

3. Disconnect the auxiliary battery negative ground bolt (1) from the frame.

4. Remove the auxiliary battery negative cable (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the auxiliary battery negative cable to the vehicle.

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Connect the auxiliary negative ground terminal bolt (1) to the frame and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

3. Connect the auxiliary battery negative cable (2) to the auxiliary battery and tighten to 14 Nm (123 in lb).
