Fuel Tank Shield: Service and Repair

LPG Fuel Tank Shield Replacement (Aft Axle)

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.




2. Remove the LPG fuel tank shield fasteners (1).




3. Remove the LPG fuel tank shield fastener (1).




4. Remove the LPG fuel tank shield fasteners (1).

5. Remove the LPG fuel tank shield (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the LPG fuel tank shield (2) to the vehicle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the LPG fuel tank shield fasteners (1) and tighten to 8 Nm (6 lb ft).




3. Install the LPG fuel tank shield fastener (1) and tighten to 8 Nm (6 lb ft).




4. Remove the LPG fuel tank shield fasteners (1) and tighten to 8 Nm (6 lb ft).

5. Lower the vehicle.
