Fuel Tank Filler Hose Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Drain the fuel below the fuel fill neck. Refer to Fuel Tank Draining (Fuel Tank Draining).
2. Remove the filler housing fasteners (1).




3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
4. Remove the filler hose ground fastener (1).




5. Loosen the bottom filler hose clamp (1).
6. Disconnect the vent tube (2) from the fuel sender. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).
7. Remove the fuel tank filler hose (3).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the fuel tank filler hose (3).
2. Connect the vent tube (2) to the fuel sender. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Tighten the bottom filler pipe hose clamp (1) to 6 Nm(53 lb in).




4. Tighten the filler hose ground fastener (1) to 10 Nm(89 lb in).




5. Tighten the filler housing fasteners (1) to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
6. Fill the fuel to the previous level.
