Fuel Tank Filler Hose Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Drain the fuel below the fuel fill neck. Refer to Fuel Tank Draining (L59) (Fuel Tank Draining (L59)) Fuel Tank Draining (Without L59) (Fuel Tank Draining (Without L59)).
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
3. Loosen the fuel fill hose clamps (1) at the tank and the filler neck.
4. Remove the fuel fill hose from the tank and filler neck.
5. Cap the fuel and vent holes in the fuel tank in order to prevent possible fuel system contamination.

Installation Procedure




1. Remove the caps from the fuel and vent holes in the fuel tank.
2. Install the fuel fill hose to the tank and filler neck.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Tighten the fuel fill hose clamps (1) at the tank and filler neck to 2.5 Nm (22 lb in).
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Fill the fuel to the previous level.
