Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).




2. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) cover screws.
3. Remove the PCV cover, diaphragm, and spring.
4. Clean and inspect the cover, diaphragm and spring.
5. Discard the diaphragm if damage is found.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the spring, diaphragm and cover.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the PCV cover screws and tighten to 4 Nm (35 lb in).
3. Replace the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
