Headlining Front Trim Panel Replacement
Removal Procedure
Warning
Do not attempt to repair or alter the head impact energy-absorbing material glued to the headliner or to the garnish trims. If the material is damaged, replace the headliner and/or the garnish trim. Failure to do so could result in personal injury.
1. Remove the windshield garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Garnish Molding Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Disconnect the headliner electrical connectors.
3. Remove the sunshades. Refer to Sunshade Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Remove the sunshade support retainer. Refer to Sunshade Anchor Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Remove the front door upper pillar garnish molding. Refer to Upper Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Partially remove the upper part of the front door opening weather strips. Refer to Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement (Service and Repair).
7. Remove the front headliner retainers.
8. Remove the front headliner from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the front headliner to the vehicle.
2. Install the front headliner retainers.
3. Connect the headliner electrical connectors.
4. Install the sunshade support retainer. Refer to Sunshade Anchor Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Install the sunshades. Refer to Sunshade Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Install the windshield garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Garnish Molding Replacement (Service and Repair).
7. Install the front door upper pillar garnish molding. Refer to Upper Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Service and Repair).
8. Install the front door opening weather strips. Refer to Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement (Service and Repair).
