Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement - Bank 2

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Remove the air conditioning (A/C) compressor.
3. Remove the left fuel rail fuel feed pipe.
4. Remove the right fuel rail fuel feed pipe.
5. Remove the left fuel injector feed pipes.




6. Disconnect the fuel rail temperature (FRT) sensor electrical connector.
7. Remove the fuel return pipe.




8. Remove the 2 fuel rail bolts and the fuel rail assembly.

Installation Procedure






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

1. Position the fuel rail assembly and install the 2 bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

2. Install the fuel return pipe.




3. Connect the FRT sensor electrical connector.
4. Install the left fuel injector feed pipes.
5. Install the right fuel rail fuel feed pipe.
6. Install the left fuel rail fuel feed pipe.
7. Install the A/C compressor.
8. Prime the fuel system. Refer to Fuel System Priming.
9. Start the engine.
If the engine does not start, repeat the above step.
10. Inspect the fuel system for fuel leaks.
11. Install the engine cover.
