Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Right

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad Clip Remover


Removal Procedure

1. Remove the second row rear seats by releasing the latch and lifting out of place.
2. Remove the back body pillar trim. Refer toFinish Panel Replacement - Upper Rear Trim (Finish Panel Replacement - Upper Rear Trim) .
3. Remove the body side upper trim panel. Refer toTrim Panel Replacement - Body Lock Pillar Upper (Trim Panel Replacement - Body Lock Pillar Upper) .




4. Remove the seat belt close out panel on the rear quarter trim.
5. Remove the rear accessory panel, for the right side quarter panel. Refer toAccessory Panel Replacement - Rear (Accessory Panel Replacement - Rear) .
6. Remove the seat belt retractor retainer bolt. Refer toSeat Belt Retractor Replacement - Rear (LWB w/RPO E59) Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Rear (SWB) in Seat Belts.
7. Remove the upper cargo net retainers.
8. Remove the liftgate sill plate. Refer toDoor Sill Plate Replacement - Liftgate (Service and Repair) .




9. Remove the rear quarter trim panel retainers usingJ 38778 .
10. Remove the rear quarter trim panel from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install rear quarter trim panel to vehicle.
2. Install the rear quarter trim retainers by aligning the retainer with the holes and then pushing the retainers to secure.
3. Install the upper cargo net retainers.
4. Install the liftgate sill plate. Refer toDoor Sill Plate Replacement - Liftgate (Service and Repair) .
5. Install the seat belt retractor retaining bolt. Refer toSeat Belt Retractor Replacement - Rear (LWB w/RPO E59) Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Rear (SWB) in Seat Belts.
6. Install the rear accessory panel, for the right side quarter panel. Refer toAccessory Panel Replacement - Rear (Accessory Panel Replacement - Rear) .




7. Install the seat belt close out panel to the rear quarter trim.
8. Install the body side upper trim panel. Refer toTrim Panel Replacement - Body Lock Pillar Upper (Trim Panel Replacement - Body Lock Pillar Upper) .
9. Install the back body pillar trim. Refer toFinish Panel Replacement - Upper Rear Trim (Finish Panel Replacement - Upper Rear Trim) .
10. Install the rear seats.
