Hinge Replacement - Liftgate

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the liftgate. Refer toLiftgate Replacement (Liftgate Replacement) .
2. Remove the headliner. Refer toHeadliner Replacement (Headliner Replacement) in Interior Trim.




3. Use a grease pencil to mark the liftgate hinge position to the body.
4. Remove the hinge retaining nuts from the vehicle roof.
5. Remove the hinge from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Align the hinge with the marks made on the vehicle body.

Notice: Refer toFastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the hinge retaining nuts.

Tighten the liftgate hinge stud nuts to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).

3. Install the headliner. Refer toHeadliner Replacement (Headliner Replacement) in Interior Trim.
4. Install the liftgate. Refer toLiftgate Replacement (Liftgate Replacement) .
